What this is

Snake AI is a free, non-commercial educational project published by Marcin Junikiewicz, acting as a private individual in Poland. It is not a product, not a service sold to anyone, and not operated as part of a registered business. By using the site you accept these terms.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is a demonstration of neuroevolution, not a scientific instrument: results depend on settings, randomness and your device, and nothing here should be relied on for research, teaching assessment or any decision that matters. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Polish law, including for intentional harm.

Availability

There is no uptime commitment. The site may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time, without notice. Saved population files remain on your device and are unaffected, but a future version may change the file format.

Using it

Use the site for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt it, probe or attack the hosting infrastructure, or place automated load on it beyond ordinary browsing. There are no accounts and the site hosts no user-submitted content.

Your own work

The simulation runs in your browser. Population files you download are yours; nothing is uploaded to or stored on the server. You are responsible for anything you choose to do with those files, including sharing them.

Intellectual property

The site, its text and its source code remain the author's. No licence to reuse them is granted by publication here. The underlying ideas — genetic algorithms, feed-forward networks, the Snake game — are not owned by anyone and you are welcome to learn from and reimplement them.

Privacy and law

How the site handles data is described separately in the privacy and cookies notice. These terms are governed by Polish law. If a provision turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Material changes will appear here with a new effective date.
